About TTYM Global
A midwife-led, community-based organization improving maternal, child, and sexual and reproductive health for women and girls in underserved communities.
Who We Are
Talk To Your Midwife (TTYM) is a midwife-led, community-based organization dedicated to improving maternal, child, and sexual and reproductive health for women and girls in underserved communities.
We work closely with women in marketplaces and communities; places where access to health information and care is often limited. By meeting women where they live, work, and learn, we create safe, trusted spaces for education, open dialogue, and practical support around pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive health, and wellbeing
Our approach is rooted in listening to women’s lived experiences and responding with respectful, culturally sensitive solutions. we address both immediate health needs and the broader systems that affect women’s health through community education and awareness, emergency maternity support, postpartum economic empowerment, and research-informed advocacy.
At TTYM, we believe that no woman should die while giving life, and that women are the driving force of families, communities, and economies. When women are healthy, informed, and supported, they are better able to care for themselves, their families, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our Mission
Our mission is to sustainably improve maternal, child, and sexual and reproductive health outcomes by delivering community-based education and awareness, providing essential maternal support, and advocating for women-centred policies that strengthen equitable health systems.
Our Vision
Healthy women, safe births, and thriving communities.
Founder's Story

Sarah Nkansah Boateng
The Global Midwife
Sarah Nkansah Boateng, affectionately known as The Global Midwife, founded TTYM Global (Talk To Your Midwife) after witnessing a deep crisis in maternal and reproductive care. While serving as a midwife in public health facilities, she encountered pregnant women in marketplaces who consistently missed antenatal visits due to the long hours they spent working, often putting their lives and their babies at risk.
She also saw the struggles adolescent girls faced: lack of access to reproductive health education, menstrual hygiene support, and safe spaces to ask questions. These realities fueled her passion to build a solution that doesn't just wait for women and girls to find care but takes care to them. From one midwife's experience, a powerful movement was born, transforming lives through innovation, education, and compassion.
Our Belief
We believe women are the driving force of every economy, therefore they need to be well in order to do well.
